Research Interests:
Evolutionary physiology and ecology of symbiotic fungi, specifically lichens. I am interested in investigating the roles of ecology and physiology in the evolution of obligate symbiotic relationships in fungi, in particular the functional constraints or diversification that help to enable fungi to gain or lose the symbiotic habit.
